Following the market opening Tuesday, the Dow traded up 0.78% to 34,267.10 while the NASDAQ rose 1.03% to 14,402.90. The S&P also rose, gaining 0.89% to 4,338.68.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: XENE) shares climbed 101.9% to close at $31.50 on Monday after the company announced its phase 2 study of XEN1101 for the treatment of epilepsy met all primary and secondary endpoints.
Toward the end of trading Monday, the Dow traded down 1.09% to 33,951.17 while the NASDAQ fell 2.28% to 14,234.17. The S&P also fell, dropping 1.49% to 4,292.00.
According to Benzinga Pro, during Q2, Ring Energy (AMEX:REI) earned $23.24 million, a 42.86% increase from the preceding quarter. Ring Energy also posted a total of $47.76 million in sales, a 20.9% increase since Q1.
Midway through trading Monday, the Dow traded up 0.80% to 34,885.46 while the NASDAQ fell 0.10% to 15,100.02. The S&P also rose, gaining 0.23% to 4,468.75.
Ring Energy (AMEX:REI) reported quarterly earnings of $0.07 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $0.05 by 40 percent. This is a 250 percent increase over earnings of $0.02 per share from the same period
