(NASDAQ:CDXC) today announced that it was granted an additional continuation patent, U.S. Patent No. 11,274,117, adding to its global patent portfolio surrounding nicotinamide riboside (NR) and other nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) precursors. This newly granted continuation patent reinforces U.S. Patent No. 11,242,364, which was just granted to ChromaDex on February 8, 2022 (full press release here). ChromaDex currently owns and licenses a robust patent portfolio of over 40 granted patents relating to Niagen® (patented NR) and other precursors of NAD, a molecule at the forefront of the burgeoning healthy aging category.
