Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ:AGTC), a biotechnology company conducting human clinical trials of adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for the treatment of rare inherited retinal diseases (IRDs), today announced Sue Washer, President and Chief Executive Officer of AGTC, will present at the Dry AMD Therapeutic Development Summit being held virtually October 19 – 21, 2021.
Ms. Washer will discuss the potential to leverage AAV gene therapy to treat dry-age related macular degeneration (AMD), including the relevance of expressing complement factor H as a therapeutic approach. She will also showcase AGTC’s approach to developing an optimized vector construct for the treatment of dry-AMD. The presentation will take place on October 20, 2021 at 1:45 p.m. ET.
